Today I was lucky to have Dr Andrew Brydon with me traveling through the wetlands and making our way to Bent's Fort just east of La Junta.
We were supposed to speak at the Freedom Fest in Rocky Ford, but the heat was so out of control that they ended the festival early to get people out of the heat.
Lucky us, we were directed by the city council to Bloom Coffee Shop. Worth it!
