About My 2026 Race4EveryKid

Welcome! I’m an avid ultrarunner and a firm believer in the power of movement to change lives. This year, I’m setting out on a fast trek across the Eastern segment of the American Discovery Trail, and I invite you to follow the journey from the very first step.

Beginning at Cape Henlopen, where the Atlantic meets the shore, I’ll run west across multiple states, ending at the Indiana border just outside Cincinnati. This route stitches together beaches, small towns, city sidewalks, and quiet back roads, all forming a living thread between communities, landscapes, and people.

This run is about more than endurance. It’s about impact.

I’m running to raise awareness and funds for the Soles4Souls Race4EveryKid, a national program whose mission is to provide brand new athletic shoes to every child experiencing homelessness in the United States. For kids without stable housing, a new pair of shoes is more than footwear. It’s dignity, confidence, protection, and the freedom to move, play, and fully participate in school and daily life.

Along the route, I’ll be hosting speaking events in local communities, sharing stories about resilience, possibility, and what happens when we choose to move toward our limits instead of away from them. Having grown up in a rural community myself, I’m especially passionate about connecting with people in the towns I pass through and encouraging them to embrace their own limitless potential.

The American Discovery Trail itself embodies that idea. Mapped in the early 1990s, it’s a coast-to-coast pathway that links rails-to-trails, backcountry roads, and urban corridors, reminding us that adventure, access to nature, and connection are closer than we think.

Throughout the journey, I’ll be sharing the experience in real time through videos, stories, and reflections. My hope is that this run not only puts new shoes on kids who need them, but also inspires others to take on meaningful challenges of their own, whatever shape those adventures may take.

Thanks for being here, and for being part of the journey forward.
